On the alarms:

In an interconnected system, all units will be alarming together. A unit that detects smoke or CO and initiates an alarm is called the "initiating alarm unit." If your Kidde Smoke + Carbon Monoxide Alarm with smart features or your Kidde Alarm with Indoor Air Quality Monitor is the initiating alarm unit, the green LED will be flashing every second with the alarm pattern (Red LED). Other models show different indications if they are the initiating alarm unit. Consult the other model's user guides for details. Depending on unit locations, and the location of the source of smoke or CO, it is possible to have more than one initiating unit.

In the app:

During a smoke event, open the Kidde app. On the screen press the button "Locate active alarms." This will silence other interconnected alarms and only the initiating alarm will continue beeping.

"Locate" will silence all the non-initiating alarms for 2 mins. Locate function works only for the Kidde Smoke + CO Alarms with Smart Features and Smoke + CO Alarms with Indoor Air Quality Monitors. (If the alarm is initiated from other hardwire interconnected devices, the locate functionality is not supported.)

NOTE: In order to control the alarms from the app, your mobile phone must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Kidde smart alarms.
