Some alarms will sound "Lost Connection" upon setup. It will soon be followed by a "Ready to Connect" message, which means it's ready to go. Just follow the steps in the Quick Start Guide and in the Kidde app to set up the device.
When I first connect the alarm to power, I hear a message, “Lost Connection, Ready to Connect.” Are there any steps required from me?
