Yes, the RemoteLync Monitor listens for your existing smoke and carbon monoxide alarms and will notify you when you’re not home. This device is not a replacement for any life safety equipment. Fire experts recommend that you install smoke alarms on each floor and inside/outside of bedrooms, and install a CO alarm on each floor and near sleeping areas. Also, all smoke alarms should be replaced consistent with the manufacturer’s instructions.
